Palmyra, Va. – Firefly Fiber Broadband, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC), is celebrating a record customer service score as measured by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI®). This year, Firefly received a score of 90, which is 26 points above the average score for brands categorized as internet service providers.*
Firefly’s President & CEO, Gary Wood addressed the score at their recent 20K Celebration. “That 90 tells you something about CVEC employees, Firefly employees and the incredible jobs all those folks do,” he said. “Transforming lives—that’s what we’re doing at Firefly in central Virginia.”
Firefly’s team is pressing ahead with bold new growth and expansion. This expansion includes the much-anticipated Regional Internet Service Expansion (RISE) project, a partnership with Rappahannock Electric Cooperative, Dominion Energy, and 13 counties designed to bridge the digital divide and bring Firefly’s lightning-fast internet to over 36,000 unserved and underserved homes and businesses in rural areas throughout central Virginia. Firefly plans to bring the same level of customer service to these expanding areas.
