The RISE Project is an initiative by Firefly Fiber BroadbandSM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC), to provide internet access to all underserved homes and businesses in 13 counties in Central Virginia. Firefly offers gigabit-speed internet via fiber to the premise that is reliable and affordable. Read more about the RISE Project.
CARES Act Projects
Firefly Fiber BroadbandSM, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Central Virginia Electric Cooperative (CVEC), is working with counties to make use of the funds that are available for non-CVEC areas as a one-time opportunity to quickly expand broadband availability in response to COVID.
